Dr. Young is a Cardinals fan, and enjoys playing golf, hiking, traveling, soccer, and photography.
Dr. Seaton graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1982. He is one of an elite group of highly dedicated dental professionals who have pursued their continuing education at some of the most prestigious facilities in the country.
Dr. Seaton’s continuing education has included specialized courses in aesthetic and restorative dentistry, and occlusal (bite) treatment at the Kois Center and the Pankey Institute. His training at the Dawson Academy has focused on diagnosing and treating disorders of the temporomandibular joint (TMD/TMJ), the techniques of splint therapy, and treatment of symptoms of sleep apnea.
He has also pursued courses from Cranham Dental Seminars (now part of Dawson Academy) that focus on contemporary smile design and occlusal concepts, treatment planning, even digital photography and laboratory communications.
Dr. Seaton is a member of the American College of Dentists and a clinical associate professor at Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine. He is past president of GSLDS.
Dr. Mattingly graduated from the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1984.
He has received specialized training from the Dawson Academy in the diagnosis and treatment of occlusal (bite) problems. He has also trained with Dr. Rhys Spoor, an internationally recognized expert in esthetic and restorative dentistry.
Mary is a multi-faceted member of the team at Dr. Flavin’s practice. She is a certified dental assistant with expanded functions in restorative and prosthodontics procedures. But she’s transferred her focus on patient care to office administration.
She schedules appointments, answers patient questions, verifies insurance benefits and maintains patient records. Our personal concern and care for each patient covers every part of their visit, including all of those details that are also part of a successful and positive experience with our practice.
Her family includes her husband, two daughters, and chocolate lab, Murphy, who keeps things lively in their home. They all enjoy camping, fishing, and boating. Like Mary herself, her family loves trying new things, visiting new places, and creating happy memories that last a lifetime.
Being an integral part of the team, Erin strives to help patients in any way possible. She takes X-rays, periodontal exams, root planing and scaling, and applying fluoride treatment for children. She also helps our patients understand the importance of home care, working with them to keep their smiles healthy.
Part of the reason Erin enjoys her job so much is the people she works with at Dr. Flavin’s dental office. As Erin puts it, “We work as a team to make sure the schedule flows smoothly and that we are on the same page.”
She is a devoted aunt to one niece and two nephews. She runs regularly and also plays on a co-ed soccer team.
Always learning, always growing! Tina has been with Dr. Flavin’s practice for 12 years, and in that time her enthusiasm and love of her profession has been a key part of the positive and caring spirit in our dental office. Tina gives our patients outstanding hygiene, including scaling and root planing, taking X-rays, measuring your gums and charting them, and applying fluoride treatments.
She spends her free time exercising and travelling with family and friends. And if you’re a cat person, you’ll find a like-minded person in Tina!
Nothing is more rewarding for Linn than seeing a patient’s smile restored to dental health and wellness. That moment when a patient looks in the mirror and his or her face lights up, is what Linn loves about her work with Dr. Flavin.
Linn is devoted to patient education and to evaluation and treatment of any gum disease. Linn’s professionalism, combined with her warmth and compassion, are part of why our patients and their families continue to trust their dental care with us.
Linn is married with two boys, and their dog, Daisy. Dr. Flavin’s office seems to draw team members who love the outdoors, and Linn is no exception. She and her family spend as much time as possible in the outdoors, enjoying the nature around them.
Rebecca fulfills a critical need at chairside with her extended training and certification in prosthodontics, restorative treatments, and orthodontics. Her continuing education also includes training in the delivery of nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”).
Using her artistic background in graphic design, Rebecca is able to help create the beautiful smiles our patients are so proud of! The connections she makes with our patients, and the care she gives them are what she loves most about her job.
Her artistic ability is also evident in the oil paintings Rebecca creates when she’s not on family outings with her husband and three children.
Dr. Flavin’s dedication to continuing education and up-to-date technology extends to every member of the practice. That’s one of the reasons Stacie is so excited to have joined his team. She assists all four dentists with patient treatments, and makes sure our patients are comfortable and have a positive experience when they’re here.
Stacie is an outdoor person; her hobbies include running, boating, and hiking. But she loves movies and cooking too!
Patti has been part of our practice family for 12 years, four years since taking a break while caring for her children. We’re glad she came back! She has over 30 years’ experience in dentistry, and her nurturing and caring personality is an important part of our patients’ experience here.
She assists Dr. Flavin chairside and takes care of lab work. Like everyone here, she will take those extra steps to make sure that you are comfortable and well cared for during your visits. If you’ve noticed, everyone is happy coming to work here each day, and that makes for a great team and a happy “vibe” in our office!
Her family includes her husband and two sons. They love camping and any activity that’s in or on the water! Patti’s practically a mermaid, she loves water so much, and has taught both swimming and lifeguarding. She loves cooking, and is a big fan of cooking shows.
